Adult Literacy and Language Programs (also known as ABE [Adult Basic Education]) are federally funded through a competitive grant process administered through the State Department of Education. These programs serve Nevadans who are functioning below the high school completion level with an emphasis on career and college readiness through reading, numeracy and English literacy programs.
